My epic wedding DJ disaster
I'm knee-deep in wedding planning right now.
But unlike my wonderful fiancée who's stressing about everything, I'm laser-focused on one thing.
The music.
Here's my dilemma - I'm a massive electronic dance music fan.
Nothing gets me more hyped than a sick house beat dropping at just the right moment.
But my guest list looks like a United Nations of musical tastes.
We've got my rave-loving friends who'd dance to a washing machine if it had the right BPM.
Then there's my future mother-in-law who thinks anything after 1975 is "too modern."
And let's not forget Papa, who starts complaining about "that noise" whenever he hears anything without an accordion.
Last night, I spent three hours trying to create the perfect playlist.
My first draft?
Pure fire.
Wall-to-wall bangers that would make Ibiza jealous.
But then I imagined Aunt Martha's face when the bass drops in "Sandstorm."
That's when it hit me - I was making the classic rookie mistake.
I was creating something I loved, without thinking about what my audience wanted.
It's exactly like what I see happening with e-commerce brands every day.
They get so caught up in what they think is cool, they forget about their actual customers.
Want to avoid this same headache with your marketing?
That's exactly why we created the C.O.R.E. Growth Engine.
We help you nail your messaging to resonate with your actual customers, not just the ones in your head.
Keep it real,
